What This Program Is — and Isn't

THIS PROGRAM IS

THIS PROGRAM IS NOT

Structured, safety-centered education

Individualized dosing instructions or personalized product recommendations

Built on adult learning and health literacy principles

Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

Delivered by a credentialed health educator

A replacement for your clinician

This program provides education for informed decision-making and safety. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, recommend treatment, or replace care from a licensed clinician.

THE FRAMEWORK

The Five Components of the SAFER Program™

SAFER

One structured path, delivered across five sessions.

S
SESSION 1

Safety & Standards

Before any product conversation happens, you need a foundation of safety and confidence. This session covers how to store cannabis products responsibly, what to watch for as you begin, and general, literature-grounded starting-point education — the "start low, go slow" principle, taught as population-level safety knowledge, not an individualized dosing plan. You'll leave knowing what to do and what to watch for, before you make a single product decision.

A
SESSION 2

Awareness & Assessment

Good decisions start with clarity, not products. This session helps you get specific about your own goals, concerns, and non-negotiables before you're standing in a dispensary or reading a product label. You'll complete a personal assessment — your conditions, goals, risks, and concerns clearly documented — so every decision after this session starts from a clear picture of what you actually need.

F
SESSION 3

Form & Fit

Cannabis comes in far more forms than most people realize, and the differences matter more than most marketing lets on. This session walks through formulation types, chemotype and cannabinoid profiles, and how to read a label so you understand what you're actually looking at — not what a package promises. You'll leave able to hold a real conversation about product options, including a dispensary conversation guide with practical language for evaluating what dispensary staff recommend, instead of relying on guesswork or a single recommendation.

E
SESSION 4

Evidence & Education

Not all information about cannabis is equally trustworthy. This session teaches you to read lab results and product testing, and to tell real evidence apart from marketing claims. You'll build a clinician communication script here too — specific language for your next healthcare provider appointment, so you walk in prepared instead of guessing what to ask.

R
INTEGRATION

Reflection & Responsible Routines

The final session brings everything together into habits you can actually sustain. You'll build your personal Safety Standard and a Red Flag/Reset Plan — your own written reference for staying safe and in control over time — and leave with a clear next-step pathway, including how the Product Navigation Review™ can support you if you want individualized guidance once you've built your foundation.

FIT CHECK

Is the SAFER Program™ Right for You?

This program is built for adults who want to approach medical cannabis with real knowledge instead of guesswork — whether you're just starting out or you've been navigating it on your own for a while.

1

New to medical cannabis

Want a clear, structured starting point instead of piecing information together from dispensary staff, online forums, or friends.

2

Newly recommended

Unsure what to do with a clinician's recommendation — what questions to ask, what to look for, or where to begin.

3

Already a patient, still uncertain

You've begun incorporating cannabis into your care, but you don't feel confident in what you're doing or why.

4

A caregiver

Supporting someone else's cannabis use and want to understand it well enough to help thoughtfully.

This program is not a fit if you're looking for a specific product recommendation, a personalized dosing plan, or a replacement for your clinical care team — for that kind of individualized support, the Product Navigation Review™ may be the better next step.
